Glenbrook have been inviting local residents, community groups and businesses to share their views on our emerging proposals for Birley Fields. This is a unique opportunity to shape the next chapter of Hulme’s evolution, while reinforcing the area’s strong sense of identity, community and creativity.
Our mission is to shape a sustainable, inclusive neighbourhood where people can live, connect and thrive, rooted in Hulme’s distinct character and supported by green spaces and shared places.
About the Proposals
Glenbrook is bringing forward proposals for Birley Fields that would deliver a residential scheme of 100% affordable homes, alongside new public realm, improved walking and cycling routes and spaces designed to support everyday community life.
Our vision is to create an affordable and sustainable neighbourhood for Hulme which responds to local needs.
Next Steps
Following this consultation period (6 July - 28 July), feedback will be reviewed and used to help inform the proposals.
We plan to submit a planning application late 2026 and start on site in 2027.
